This was the single best day of shooting I have ever done. I spent the whole day at the Tanabatta Festival in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Ken. It's a festival for lovers when the stars can join each other in the sky. To celebrate people wear kimono and hang streamers and floats from bamboo.

These really are great photos. It appears that people were very willing to have their pictures taken. I assume these are strangers?
Also, cigarette in the smoke dragon drawing is now very clear, with the addition of the hand.
